My coaching style
My nutrition philosophy is that food has the power to not only nourish, but also bring joy, and one shouldn’t be valued more than the other. All foods fit, and even when adjustments to food choices are medically necessary, you can still have peace and satisfaction with food while pursuing your health goals. I practice evidenced based, medical nutrition therapy from a weight neutral approach. In other words, I encourage my clients to focus on targeting modifiable behaviors like nutrition quality, meal composition, meal time behavior, movement, sleep hygiene, and stress management rather than the number on the scale when it comes to improving health. In our sessions, we will focus on identifying steps to move you toward your health goals that are not only sustainable, but are achievable where you are today.
My goal as a dietitian is to uncomplicate nutrition and help my clients move away from fear and preoccupation with food choices so that they can pursue the good things set before them that they were created to accomplish.
