What to expect in your first session with this dietitian?
We begin our first session getting to know each other. I'll complete a thorough assessment by asking additional details about your nutrition and lifestyle to lay the foundation for your personalized care. Together, we'll explore your individual goals in greater detail and develop practical, realistic strategies to start achieving them. I'll provide some initial nutrition education to empower you with first steps you can begin implementing right away. By the end of the session, you'll have a clear understanding of your goals, personalized strategies to achieve them, and motivation to embark on your health journey.
Approach to care
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) with over five years of counseling experience. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics, a Master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology and a Certificate in Obesity & Weight Management as well. Personally, as a two-time National Champion and past representative of the United States of America in synchronized skating, I've experienced first-hand the impact proper fueling can have on sport performance. Through overcoming various injuries - each threatening my athletic career- - I've dedicated my personal and professional life in supporting athletic development and fine-tuning sports performance through sport-specific nutrition and exercise training. My experience spans working with sport and tactical athletes, the retiring/retired athlete, and those in pursuit of enjoyable sustainable weight management or heart health.
Hobbies
A few of my favorite things in life include: a morning cup of coffee, cozying up with my dog and reading, yoga and cooking. My friends and family call me the 'Dancing Queen' – oftentimes found dancing on any and all occasions. I love listening to music, gardening and enjoying a glass of wine with my boyfriend on the weekends.

Considering myself a teammate to my client, my counseling approach is one that promotes the adoption of a nutritious lifestyle that is both enjoyable and sustainable while helping the client achieve their health and performance goal(s). Helping to construct healthful fueling practices that fit into the clients lifestyle, I support clients in working to cultivate a positive, flexible, healthful relationship with food that offers sound nourishment, optimal health and max performance. Working primarily within sport and wellness nutrition, through a combined and personalized approach, I strive to provide clients with the tools and skills required to reach their maximum athletic potential, optimal health and to become a fueling champion for life.
