For many New Yorkers, adhering to a healthy diet and weight management plan can seem like an unattainable goal. More than half of New York City residents struggle with their weight, which can lead to complications such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease, and pre-diabetes. For some, the demands of a hectic job, a long commute, and numerous family commitments can make finding time to cook healthy meals and get enough exercise almost impossible.
Many New Yorkers find themselves living and working in neighborhoods with few supermarkets, where fresh fruit and vegetables are hard to find. The available options are often limited to fast food outlets and convenience stores. It’s no wonder that so many busy NYC professionals rely on takeout and food delivery apps for multiple meals every week, even though these aren’t the healthiest options.
In a vast city like New York, most people rely entirely on public transportation, which can make grocery shopping time-consuming and impractical. Without easy access to grocery stores full of fresh, healthy food, it’s understandable why so many people end up eating processed, pre-made meals on a daily basis. Most New Yorkers want to follow a healthy lifestyle, but the realities of work and family pressures, transportation issues, and limited grocery shopping options have left many people in the city struggling to manage their diet and their weight.
We know that you have options when it comes to losing weight. We’re confident that our network of leading New York City nutritionists offers the convenience, expertise, and personalized attention to help you achieve your goals.
