I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 18 years of counseling experience. I have a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Ball State University and a certificate of advanced studies in Food and Nutritional Sciences from California State University, Fresno (Fresno State). It lights me up to work with adults, children and teens who are struggling with binge/emotional eating or yo-yo dieting and are looking to have a healthy relationship with food and body image. Previously having prediabetes and gestational diabetes myself, I have a special place in my heart for those struggling with the same. I also have significant experience working with chronic kidney disease, hearth health, women's health, weight management, picky eating and general wellness.
Welcome! I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over a decade of experience as a nutrition educator. I specialize in conditions such as diabetes, insulin resistance, weight-related issues, hypertension, gastrointestinal issues, eating disorders, body image distortion, food allergies and sensitivities, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and more. I provide a non-judgmental space for my clients to set goals and learn freely while using a whole person-centered, mindful and culturally aware approach. Personally, I was diagnosed with high cholesterol and hypothyroidism at the young age of 13 years old. Once my family made small alterations in our Caribbean diet, I began to see great improvements in my sports performance, grades, energy, and mental health. We will work together, just like my family did, to find ways to continue to prepare foods you enjoy while addressing your physical health and mental health conditions so you and your families can live long, happy, fulfilled lives.
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 27 years of counseling experience. Personally, I chose a career in nutrition and dietetics because it allows me to blend my profound love for science, particularly biochemistry, with my innate desire to help people live their healthiest and fullest lives. Nutrition is the cornerstone of well-being, and I am drawn to the idea of addressing the root causes of illness through food and lifestyle choices. The opportunity to empower individuals with the knowledge and guidance to make informed dietary decisions is both a privilege and a passion of mine. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and a Master’s degree in Nutrition Science. My specialties include working with clients who have diabetes, chronic kidney disease, heart disease, or struggles with weight management, women navigating peri and post menopause and those looking to work on improving their overall health and wellbeing.
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a Master's degree in Dietetics and over 12 years of counseling experience. Personally, I’ve completed multiple races including the Honolulu marathon, the Great Aloha Run (where I placed top 10 in my female/age group category), and several Spartan races of varying lengths. I have also personally struggled with digestive issues since high school. They became more of the norm than anything, and it wasn’t until a few years back when I began learning about how to heal the gut with the right nutrition and treat the root cause of elevated stress and cortisol levels, that I was able to heal my gut with nutrition and supplementation. This increased my energy, improved my athletic performance and decreased brain fog, among other physiological benefits. My specialty areas as a dietitian include helping clients manage chronic medical conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, weight management, sports nutrition, and those who desire to improve gut health and overall well-being. Helping people improve their quality of life gives me incredible joy!
