What to expect in your first session with this dietitian?
Our initial session will be all about you! We'll start by digging deep into your life, your schedule, your food preferences, your goals, etc. From there we'll lay the foundation for your personalized care and develop realistic strategies to achieve your goals. I'll provide nutrition education to start your journey so you feel empowered to get started right away. By the end of our appointment you'll have a clear understanding of what steps we'll be taking as we work together on your health journey!
Approach to care
I am a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist with over 6 years of counseling experience. I have a B.S. in Foods and Nutrition from Meredith College and completed my Dietetic Internship at The Medical University of South Carolina. Personally, I was a collegiate cross country athlete and have competed in half marathons, marathons, and triathalons. My da has Type 2 Diabetes, and helping him change his eating habits has been so rewarding. Fortunately, working with a dietitian in high school opened my eyes to the empowerment of fueling and nourishing my body with confidence... and I set out from then to do the same! I now specialize in working with clients who seek to lose weight while cultivating a healthy relationship with food, and the everyday athlete seeking to fuel for their sport and daily life.
Hobbies
I love spending time outdoors! Running, hiking, snowboarding, and paddle boarding just to name a few. I also enjoy traveling to new cities and eating the local cuisine!
