What to expect in your first session with this dietitian?
We begin our first session getting comfortable with each other but the focus is learning about you and what you want to accomplish and why- your long term goals. I like to know them, so that we are aligned on the same path to get you to them. I will get an in-depth assessment about what you are eating, your schedule, your sleep, your energy, your movement. I want to see the whole picture of you. I'll provide nutrition education based on research and experience. Together we will take those first steps to explore your individual goals so that you will have a clear focus on what your next steps will be to get started right away. I want you to leave our meeting feeling motivated and to know I am there to support you as you make positive changes for your future.

Approach to care

I want to transform your life through nutrition. When we meet, I’ll listen to what you want for yourself and will motivate you in a positive way. Every person’s nutritional goals are unique, and we will set small goals for a big impact. I believe that all foods can fit into your health plan; there are no foods that are “off” limits. As we work together, I’ll help you navigate through any nutritional questions you may have and we will figure out what is the best choice for you. I will take into consideration your whole lifestyle - which includes movement, sleep, and schedule management - so that your body will feel the best it can.

Hobbies

I love to be outside! It could be hiking with my puppy Bubbles, reading on the beach, gardening, biking, or dining alfresco. I am in two competitive Ladies doubles tennis leagues. It's a sport I have played for years. I like to have a knitting project going. I find it calming and brings out my creative side. I have 3 kids in their twenties and nothing is better when we are all together. I still beat them at UNO too! 🤣

More About This Dietitian

Personally, nutrition has always fascinated me, and it still does. It amazes me that by making small changes we can make a big positive impact on our health now and in the future. I have seen first hand so many amazing changes in my clients when they make changes for themselves. It's so inspiring for them, and for me too! I have even helped members of my extended family reach their goals - my daughter and her college rowing team, my niece with gestational diabetes, my sister with weight loss, my other sister with GI issues, and my son with healthful weight gain.

"This Dietitian helped me get my life back”

Gia M.

Lori is awesome. From our very first session, she made me feel seen, heard, and valued. I've made major progress on my goals over the past few months, but more than that I'm feeling a new sense of confidence and pride in myself. I recommend her highly.

Marilyn E.

I'm in good hands with Lori! She has been my champion through every obstacle. Her knowledge and support has been invaluable.

Doug S.

Lori listened diligently as I explained my struggles in the beginning. Each time we met, we tried something new and she offered such good advice not only for physical health, but mental health as well. We collaborated on my menopause and osteopenia in addition to my desire for losing weight. She shared cooking tips recipe ideas ingredients I might want to try and always remembered my goals and keep me focused on achieving them
