What to expect in your first session with this dietitian?
Before we begin our session I will send a Initial Assessment form via Healthie for you to complete prior to our first meeting. This will provide me more detailed information of who you are, what your day looks like, diet history just to name a few. Be as specific as possible when completing this form, this will help set the foundation of your personalized program. During the session we will complete your nutrition assessment by digging deep into your why and set up realistic achievable long/ medium and short term goals. Based on our conversation I will identify basic nutrition information you might find valuable to assist you start your road on becoming your improved version. By the end of the session you will have a clear understanding of your goals and know how to start implementing them. Remember this might be a slow but steady process, no quick results are expected, but with my education, guidance and your implementation and compromise we will crush that goal.

Approach to care

I am a bilingual Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 11 years of nutrition counseling experience. I also became a Zumba instructor in 2018, which allowed me to focus on my physical and mental health, in addition to incorporating the knowledge I already knew about nutrition, to reach my weight loss goals. I now help other individuals achieve their nutrition goals through behavior coaching, specializing in weight loss, Typ2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, and overall wellbeing. I understand that everyone is unique and has different needs when it comes to their health and wellness. People have a deep appreciation for food, and it often plays a central role in gatherings and daily life. By teaching you how to thoughtfully assemble meals that align with your health goals, we can make nutrition an integral and enjoyable part of your life, rather than imposing restrictions.

Hobbies

I enjoy listening to music, spend time with my kids, go out for dinner on Friday nights, i enjoy going to the beach and listen to the sound of the waves. I love dancing, meditations and giving thanks to my body for all it does for me.

I firmly believe that all foods can fit into a healthy lifestyle, and there's no one-size-fits-all solution to achieving one's goals. My mission is to help clients heal their relationship with food, guiding them towards becoming the best version of themselves. Through personalized strategies and culturally sensitive guidance, I empower individuals to make sustainable, positive changes that go beyond temporary fixes and foster lasting well-being.
