What to expect in your first session with this dietitian?
Our first session together will include a thorough evaluation of your current diet including detailed input on the things you are doing well as well as any nutritional gaps that may be hindering achievement of your unique health and performance goals. In addition, I’ll be offering a custom platform for fueling along with a sample menu, quick and healthy recipe ideas, and grocery list. This will also include specific guidance on how to optimally fuel workouts to maximize favorable adaptations to your fitness/sports training. By the end of our session together, you’ll have a clear vision of not only what you need to work on but how to do so.
Approach to care
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD), and certified running coach with over 20 years of experience. I have contributed to countless publications, as well as written my own book, The Athlete’s Guide to Sports Supplements (Human Kinetics, 2013). I enjoy supporting active individuals looking to reach the peak with their personal health and performance. When I am not coaching others, you’ll find me “walking the fitness walk” as an All-American age-group triathlete, elite master’s runner, and proud mom paving a healthy lifestyle road for my 2 mini athletes.
Hobbies
I’m a proud mom of two mini athletes (club soccer and competitive gymnastics) but when I’m not supporting them, I enjoy coaching others in running as well as well as training and competing as an elite masters runner and enjoying my outdoor playground here in California. Throughout my lifetime, I have competed in soccer, basketball, swim team, cross country (college), track (college), triathlon (from sprint distance to Ironman), and road & trail running all distances.

I am a firm believer of Hippocrates line of thinking, “let food be thy medicine”. What we fuel with and when we fuel can make a huge difference in how our body performs in every sense of the word (athletically and general health). I look forward to not only showing you the tools that will help you climb your personal performance peak but also teaching you the science as to why. I create custom menu plans centered on balanced whole food nutrition and provide personalized lifestyle coaching to help each individual achieve their unique health, fitness, and performance goals in a healthy, science-based, and sustainable manner.
