What to expect in your first session with this dietitian?
During our first session together I will conduct an extensive intake to best understand your past lived experience with food, your current challenges and your future goals. Together the two of us will create a roadmap that outlines all the critical pieces of what you need to work on together to reach your goals. Each session she will break that roadmap into small actionable steps that will progress you towards your larger goals. You should walk away from the first session with a clear picture of what we will be working on over the coming weeks/months to reach your goals, but also a sense of calm that it will be laid out in do-able steps.

Approach to care

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 18 years of counseling experience. I have a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Ball State University and a certificate of advanced studies in Food and Nutritional Sciences from California State University, Fresno (Fresno State). It lights me up to work with adults, children and teens who are struggling with binge/emotional eating or yo-yo dieting and are looking to have a healthy relationship with food and body image. Previously having prediabetes and gestational diabetes myself, I have a special place in my heart for those struggling with the same. I also have significant experience working with chronic kidney disease, hearth health, women's health, weight management, picky eating and general wellness.

Hobbies

I love spending time outdoors with my family. We play pickleball, hike, trail ride, play frisbee, go to the pool/beach, you name it. I also love relaxing with a bourbon and watching Tiny Desk concerts on YouTube. In my previous life I was a decent poker player, playing in Vegas multiple times.

More About This Dietitian

I strive to create a safe space where my clients can share their challenges with food and body image without feeling like they will be judged or shamed. I utilize motivational interviewing and goal setting to empower my clients to take charge of their well-being. As an intuitive eating practitioner, I’m proud to offer weight neutral, judgment-free care that will help you quite obsessive food thoughts, feel in control of your habits and find a place of peace with food and your body.

"This Dietitian helped me get my life back”

Gia M.

Dina has really changed my relationship with food. I was impressed by her knowledge/training on the science of food, and her ability to persuade me to set realistic goals that can be achieved, and then sustain them. Her interpersonal skills and emotional presence were amazing.

Amanda T.

Dina has been such an instrumental part in a whole life change for me. Her passion for her work with people and food is one I have never seen before. She really cares and I don't tend to see that often. She really got to the heart of what was behind my eating disorder and I have been able to find food freedom because of her guidance. I am so grateful for Dina! If I could give a millions stars I would!

Jackie B.

Dina was amazing. When I went to Dina, I had issues with binging, poor eating habits, stress eating, and focusing too much on food while wallowing in guilt, not to mention having no idea how to incorporate healthy and easy meal prepping into my routine. Dina helped me every step of the way, through vacations, holidays, parties, etc., and I let go of the guilt, found so many ways to eat healthier, and found myself enjoying food more while maintaining balance without guilt in my life!
