What to expect in your first session with this dietitian?
We begin our first session getting to know each other. I want to understand your needs, and I am here to listen. I'll complete an assessment by asking additional details about your health history, nutrition, and lifestyle to lay the foundation for your personalized care. Together, we'll explore your individual goals in greater detail and develop practical, realistic strategies to start achieving them. I'll provide some initial nutrition education to empower you with first steps you can begin implementing right away. By the end of the session, you'll have a clear understanding of your goals, personalized strategies to achieve them, and motivation to embark on your health journey. I am here to help guide you towards better health. Let's get started!

Approach to care

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 15 years of experience. I have degree in Human Nutrition from Virginia Tech, and I have many years of continuing education in various nutrition specialties. I have always been fascinated by the impact diet and nutrition has on our health and longevity. My love of science and desire to guide others towards a healthier lifestyle led me to a career in nutrition and dietetics. I enjoy helping my clients better understand their health and the role diet and nutrition plays in managing disease and improving quality of life. Presently, I am enrolled in IBS Low FODMAP Diet training through Monash University. My expertise spand working with various GI disorders, women’s health, heart disease and other chronic conditions.

Hobbies

I love spending time outdoors and enjoying nature. A peaceful walk by the river or a more adventurous hike up the mountain always brings me peace. I enjoy my morning coffee and appreciate snuggling up with a good book on a rainy day.

"This Dietitian helped me get my life back”

Gia M.

Before Amy, I was an overworked executive carrying extra 45lbs of stress. Not only have I now lost the weight, but I've also gained a better understanding of nutrition. Amy's truly life-changing!

Lauren M.

Struggled with PCOS and weight gain. Amy made sense of my body, helping me lose 22lbs. More than the weight loss, it's the confidence she's given me. She's an angel in a dietitian's disguise.

Jackie P.

Since Ive started working with Amy, I have really made progress with my desired health goals. She is so easy to talk to and has been so helpful with getting me on the right track to becoming a better me!
