Michelle has been a great "partner" to work with on my health and fitness journey. She helped me navigate through adding more carbs into my diet for my training and had some great suggestions with supplements that I have added to my daily routine. Within a couple of weeks, we had lowered my body fat by 3% and increased my muscle mass by 6.2lbs. I highly recommend Michelle as she is top notched and has a wealth of knowledge.

Wow. I was looking for a dietitian and found Top Nutrition Coaching. They matched me with the exact right person. My dietitian listened to me. She understood my issues. She even pointed out some of the habits I had that I was not aware of. She has worked with me to change my eating habits in a way that WORKS for ME! She has helped me get past roadblocks and helped me in advance with dealing with challenges so that I could stay on track. I have lost 20 pounds so far and I plan to keep going until I get to my goal.

I've been holding back on writing this review because the impact of my nutritionist has been short of miraculous and I don't want to get emotional. My gut problems that have been with me since childhood, I'm 66 now, went away in literally a couple of days after I started the program. I'm very grateful to Andrea and Top Nutrition for a dramatic improvement in my quality of life.

Frequently asked questions

What makes a registered dietitian expert?

A registered dietitian expert (RDE) is someone with a degree and/or certification(s) in nutrition. They work with you and healthcare professionals to improve a patient’s health by addressing their dietary needs and medical concerns through a nutrition plan.

Does my insurance cover nutrition coaching?

At Top Nutrition Coaching, we work with top insurance providers such as United Health, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, and others to provide you with access to high quality nutritional care.

What does a two-week, risk-free trial mean?

You can try out our nutrition counseling services for two weeks without putting yourself or your money at risk. Once you've been matched to a specialist, you'll have two weeks to gauge whether their services are right for you. If, after that two-week period has ended, you'd like to continue on your nutrition journey, you can do so with no additional effort or signup. If, however, you'd like to end the service and part ways, our service will issue a 100% refund of your money.

What does it mean to be matched to a dietitian?

Top Nutrition Coaching uses an online questionnaire to match you with a registered dietitian based on your specific health concerns. Once paired, your specialist will help create a step-by-step plan intended to maximize your chances for success. You'll meet regularly with your dietitian to keep you on the right track and discuss any changes or concerns you might have about your nutrition. As you advance, your dedicated dietitian will modify and adapt your program to match that progress.

What if I don't feel that my dietitian is the right fit for me?

If you ever feel that your dietitian isn’t the right fit, our matching specialists will gladly help you find someone who better meets your needs.

What's the difference between a nutritionist and dietitian?

Someone with the title Registered Dietitian means that they’ve met specific educational and professional requirements, and taken a national exam to get their license or certification.
In particular, anyone who calls themselves a dietitian must be registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, or CRD. The CRD is an organization that ensures all dietitians adhere to best practices and care standards.

On the other hand, a nutritionist isn’t regulated the same way and the title is used with varying degrees of education and expertise.

How much does nutrition coaching cost if you pay out of pocket?

With Top Nutrition Coaching, you can pay as little as $99/month for 24/7 access to a registered dietitian. Generally, you can expect to pay between $60 and $100 per session, based on the plan you select to work with a registered dietitian.

The benefits of working with an online nutritionist and dietitian

Managing your health can be overwhelming at times. With online nutrition counseling, you can feel confident that each step you take is grounded in professional knowledge, empowering you to make informed choices and stay committed to your wellness journey.

Customization

While it’s possible to find general health and nutrition advice online, experts increasingly highlight the importance of a health plan tailored to the individual's needs. A registered dietitian may help you design custom meal plans and supplement regimens, or identify high-value ingredients to incorporate into your regular diet.

Accountability

When it comes to nutrition and exercise, having a partner to motivate you and keep you accountable can prove invaluable in improving your health. Eating healthy and weight management can be challenging, and it's all too easy to lose sight of our goals. With regular check-ins and evolving advice, however, we keep you on track every step of the way.

Confidence

With the enormous and often overwhelming amount of online nutrition data, it can sometimes feel impossible to know how to begin your journey toward better health. By partnering with one of our specialists, you can be confident you’re making the right decision.

What to look for in an online nutritionist and dietitian

When beginning your search for online nutrition counseling, there are certain qualities and certifications you should look for in a dietitian. Your health journey is an essential part of your life, and you deserve only the best service and advice to help navigate it.

Registered with the CDR

It is possible to find a good nutritionist who hasn't registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration yet, but limiting your search to registered dietitians will help you find the best nutrition counseling. This type of registration standardizes practices and quality assurance.

Relevant specialty

To find the best online nutritionist for you, it’s important to identify which specialties align with your needs. Use our complimentary specialty resources and free matching service to guide you in building a personalized plan from the start.

Insurance coverage

Identifying a specialist who accepts insurance is easier than you may think. Top Nutrition Coaching, works with top insurance providers such as United Health, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, and others to provide you with access to high quality nutritional care at little to no cost.

What is an online nutritionist and dietitian?

An online nutritionist and dietitian is a healthcare professional who seeks to improve the health and lives of their clients through meal planning, supplements, and changing their relationship with food. Most of the time, these professionals will specialize in one or more areas, such as fitness nutrition, children's nutrition, or weight management.

Once matched to your respective specialist, they will confirm how you would like to communicate. Communication will be through a platform, emails, or scheduled video calls. During these meetings, you will discuss your health concerns and potential barriers to success. Your nutritionist will then provide resources such as a meal plan, a list of recommended supplements, and teach you techniques to alter your relationship with food.

When looking for online nutrition counseling, it's best to focus on professionals who have the degrees, certifications, and experience you need. If you don't know what kind of specialist would be best for your situation, you can use a service to help you find the right one.

What does an online nutritionist and dietitian do?

Online nutritionists and dietitians are healthcare professionals dedicated to helping people improve their lives through nutrition-related services and education. Although these services can be used to treat or manage conditions like heart disease or eating disorders, they are usually thought of as preventive care and covered fully/partially by an insurance provider.

Depending on the terms and duration of the online nutrition counseling service you choose, your assigned dietitian might provide you with a one-time set of personalized resources or schedule weekly, biweekly, or monthly meetings. During these meetings, the two of you will review your goals, potential paths to success, and any hurdles you've encountered along the way.

While even a single meeting with a nutritionist can often be the push you need to experience results, many clients find the greatest success comes from regular check-ins and a program that evolves alongside them.
